What you do
1. Regarding the development strategy:
- Building a development strategy for the Airfreight business.
- Formulating a development strategy and planning human resources for the Airfreight business development plan.
- Implementing the agreed strategy and plan.
- Being responsible for the overall business results of the department and the Airfreight business segment.
2. For the Sales Manager in charge of Airfreight:
- Ensure that the business achieves the revenue and profit targets assigned to the entire department
- Supervise and manage the activities of sales staff for all daily activities.
- Supervise and ensure the progress of the implementation of the plan and budget of the airfreight business segment.
- Build and systematize SOP for the Airfreight segment in detail from the pricing stage with Air Cargo/GSA to the operations, documentation, foreign agents, etc. Aiming for the strategy of becoming a true 3PL
- Recruitment, training, coaching plan for Sales staff, including: Documentation, Pricing, Operations.
- Support sales staff to propose solutions to solve arising problems and negative feedback during the customer service process.
- Optimize employee performance, ensure employees complete assigned tasks well
- Build a comprehensive logistics solution (Freight, Customs Clearance, Warehouse, Transportation) and quote for each specific Customer.
3. Regarding the Business Operations:
- Ensure revenue, profit, and the work process in accordance with the Company's business plan. Develop a business plan (DT, LN) for the airfreight sector.
- Search for and approach air cargo/GSA companies to establish purchase prices.
- Build a network of Agents based on the 2 FF groups that the company is a member of (3S and WCA). Search for, approach, and quote airfreight rates to customers.
- Receive, study, and analyze customer information and market information.
- Meet to introduce services and persuade, care for customers.
- Create process for pricing staff to check and finalize prices, flight schedules and surcharges with air cargo/GSA.
- Quote, Coordinate to issue bookings to customers.
- Coordinate with other departments and third parties to handle arising tasks, related customer requests (if any)
- Closely monitor the status of each shipment with related business departments to update information for the document department and the ship operation department so that the shipment is exploited on schedule
- Aim for the strategy of becoming a true 3PL
- Build a comprehensive logistics solution (Freight, Customs Clearance, Warehouse, Transportation) and offer it to each specific Customer.
4. Search, maintain and develop a network of potential customers and partners in many fields (directly or indirectly):
- Meet the highest requirements of customers, maintain traditional customers.
- Regularly search for potential customers
- Make sales calls, grasp the psychology and needs of customers
- Introduce airfreight services and types of logistics services provided by the Company to customers
- Draft/Close contracts with customers and submit for signature according to the process.
- Maintain relationships with customers
5. Directly implement and urge contract implementation:
- Implement the work of signing service contracts between customers and the Company
- Monitor and implement contracts with Air cargo/GSA, Agent regularly and evaluate quality.
- Monitor the implementation of delivery procedures and related documents, issue invoices, and check the quality of delivered products with customers.
- Receive and handle customer complaints about product quality, delivery time…
6. About service quality:
- Satisfy customer needs at the best level, serve customers better and better.
- Support the review and inspection of service quality provided to customers periodically through customer feedback.
- Evaluate the service quality of Air cargo/GSA
7. Manage customer debt:
- Manage the increase and decrease of costs in accordance with the business results of the department.
- Transfer customer debt that you are in charge of to accounting staff & support the urging of customers to pay.
- Collect data and summarize monthly revenue reports of customers that you are in charge of.
8. Report:
- Ensure the business progress of the department according to the assigned areas at each time.
- Make weekly work reports, monthly business reports.
- Synthesize monthly revenue reports for the Department Head as required.
- Report to the Department Head on customer needs, problems, concerns; competitor activities and potential for product/service business development
9. Developing customer and partner relationships:
- Maintain working relationships, provide the best service for the job.
- Establish, maintain and develop relationships with customers, partners, related departments..., act as a bridge between field staff - sales staff - customers/partners to achieve maximum support and improve the quality of service of the department.
- Establish and maintain relationships with Air cargo/GSA, Agent
- Contact customers/partners at the direct work level.
10. Other responsibilities:
- Support subordinates in daily work
- Undertake other ad hoc tasks assigned by the Board of Directors.
What you need
- 5 years or more experience as Sales Manager or higher in a Logistics company specializing in Airfreight
- Experience in building, developing and managing Sales team personnel
- Experience in planning and implementing effective Sales plans
- Knowledge and experience in Airfreight operations
- Good English proficiency or higher
