Vietnam's Import-Export Market: Over 48% growth since early 2021.

Although the Covid-19 pandemic is still complicated all over the world, in the first month of 2021, the Vietnam Customs Authority recorded strong growth in import and export turnover, an increase of more than 48% compared to the same period in 2020.

The General Department of Customs announced the latest statistics showing that the total value of Vietnam's import and export in the second half of January 2021 (from January 16 to January 31) reached 28.77. USD billion, up 10.4% (up 2.71 billion USD) compared to the results in the first half of January 2021.

The results achieved in the second half of January brought the total import and export value of the whole country in January 2021 to 55 billion USD, up 48.2% (up 17.88 billion USD) compared to January 2020.

In which, the total import-export value of FDI enterprises reached 39.16 billion USD, up 60.1% (up 14.69 billion USD); the import-export value of domestic enterprises was 15.85 billion USD, up 25.2% (up 3.19 billion USD) over the same period last year.

Vietnam's merchandise trade surplus in the first month of 2021 reached $ 2.09 billion.
