Vietnam's import and export in the first 6 months 2021 increased significantly

According to the Vietnam Customs, in June 2021, the total import and export value of Vietnam's goods is estimated at 55.3 billion USD, up 1.5% over the previous month. In which, the total export value is estimated at 27.3 billion USD, up 4.2% and the total import value is estimated at 28 billion USD, down 0.9%. In which, the total export value is estimated at 158.35 billion USD, up 29% and the total import value is estimated at 159.67 billion USD, up 36.6%.
According to calculations by the General Department of Customs, Vietnam's goods trade balance in June 2021 is estimated to have a deficit of 700 million USD. Thereby, raising the deficit in the first 6 months of 2021 to $ 1.31 billion, in contrast to the trade surplus of $ 5.87 billion in the first 6 months of 2020.
Import value in the first 6 months of 2021 compared with the same period in 2020 mainly in a number of commodity groups such as Petroleum of all kinds, estimated at 3.9 million tons, estimated at 2.1 billion USD, down 7.2% in volume and 22.9% in value; Computers, electronic products & components, estimated at 31.73 billion USD, up 20.6%; Phones of all kinds and components, water reached 8.9 billion USD, up 48.7%...
Regarding exports, a number of key commodities in the first 6 months of the year still grew compared to 2020, specifically: Wood and wood products, exports were estimated at 8.1 billion USD, up 61.1%; Footwear is estimated at 10.4 billion USD, up 27.8%; Textile and garment, estimated at USD 15.2 billion, up 14.9%; Computers, electronic products, and components, estimated at USD 23.7 billion, up 22.07% over the same period last year, etc.
