In the first 7 months of 2024, two-way trade turnover between Vietnam and Hungary reached 506.7 million USD, down 11.7% over the same period last year. However, Vietnam's exports to Hungary increased sharply, reaching 392.2 million USD, equivalent to a growth rate of 61.1%. The bright spot in exports was the group of computers and electronic components, with a turnover of 223.89 million USD, up 128%, accounting for 57% of Vietnam's total export turnover to Hungary.

Along with computers and electronic components, the group of phones and accessories also achieved impressive growth. The export turnover of this group reached 27.2 million USD, 21 times higher than the same period last year. This shows that the information technology and electronic components industry is the main driving force for Vietnam's exports to the European market, including Hungary.

In contrast, imports from Hungary in the same period decreased sharply, reaching only 114.5 million USD, down 61.1%. The main reason was the decline in the group of raw materials and animal feed. This shows a change in the trade structure between the two countries, as Vietnam is increasingly taking advantage of the advantages of the Vietnam - EU Free Trade Agreement (EVFTA) to boost exports to Hungary in particular and the EU market in general.

Opportunities for Vietnamese businesses and the role of Dolphin Sea Air

Although Hungary is not a large market in the European region, the country's import demand remains high, reaching 100 billion USD per year. In particular, imports from Vietnam have increased sharply in recent years, showing that Vietnamese goods, especially technology products and electronic components, are increasingly asserting their position in this market.

Export growth not only creates great opportunities for manufacturing enterprises but also opens up many potentials for logistics enterprises, including Dolphin Sea Air. As one of the leading logistics service providers in Vietnam, Dolphin Sea Air is committed to accompanying import-export enterprises in optimizing the transportation process, ensuring timely and efficient delivery of goods, even in difficult times such as natural disasters or epidemics.

In particular, Dolphin Sea Air has accumulated a lot of experience in transporting goods to European markets, including Hungary. Hungary's lack of seaports means that imported goods must go through major ports in Germany, the Netherlands or Italy before being transported by road to Hungary. This requires close coordination between exporting enterprises and logistics companies to optimize costs and transportation time. With a comprehensive service system, from sea and air transport to warehousing services, Dolphin Sea Air can support Vietnamese enterprises to export goods to Hungary conveniently and effectively.

Challenges and solutions to promote exports to Hungary

Although Vietnam's exports to Hungary are making great strides, there are still some challenges that need to be addressed. First, the geographical distance between the two countries is a major obstacle as goods from Vietnam often have to be imported through seaports in other European countries before being transported to Hungary. This increases transportation costs, affecting the price of goods.

Second, the Hungarian market is mainly dominated by multinational companies and large corporations, while Hungarian enterprises are mostly small and medium-sized enterprises with limited financial capacity. Therefore, Vietnamese enterprises wishing to export directly to Hungary need to have an appropriate approach strategy, taking advantage of large intermediary partners in Europe.

Dolphin Sea Air commits to supporting Vietnamese enterprises to overcome challenges

To take advantage of export opportunities to Hungary, Vietnamese enterprises need to be more proactive in researching the market and finding partners. Dolphin Sea Air, with extensive experience in the field of logistics and a wide network of partners across Europe, is ready to be a bridge between Vietnamese enterprises and the Hungarian market. The company is committed to providing effective logistics solutions, from transportation to warehousing, helping enterprises optimize costs and access international markets more easily.

In the coming time, Dolphin Sea Air will continue to accompany export enterprises, bringing Vietnamese goods closer to the international market, not only in Hungary but also globally.
