1. General introduction

2. What types of agricultural products are exported to China?
There are 9 types of Vietnamese fruits allowed to be officially exported to the Chinese market, including dragon fruit, mango, watermelon, lychee, longan, banana, jackfruit, rambutan, and mangosteen. In addition, there are two cultivated products that are officially allowed to be exported to the Chinese market: chili and black jelly.
3. Quality standards of agricultural products exported to China
Plants and plant products imported into China require a Phytosanitary Certificate; ensure regulations on product safety and quality standards according to Chinese law. If a product is granted a Quality Certificate, it will be labeled with a product safety label. All goods circulating on the Chinese market must have labels with relevant information in Chinese.
China requires imported food products such as candy, wine, nuts, canned foods and cheese, etc. to be stamped and certified for product safety before being exported and imported. The importer must bear the cost of attaching a picture label, and the picture sticker can only be attached to the product with the consent of the General Administration of Customs of China.
To export agricultural products to the Chinese market, manufacturers and exporters must comply with regulations on plant quarantine, food safety and traceability. Shipments from growing areas or packing facilities that are not registered with the growing area code and packing facility number with the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development and are not accepted by the General Administration of Customs of China (GACC) will not be accepted. imported into China.
In case of detection of quarantine objects that China is interested in, the shipment will be refused import, destroyed or subject to phytosanitary treatment. At the same time, GACC will immediately notify the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development and may apply measures to temporarily suspend imports from that growing area (or enterprise) into China, or even suspend all operations. to import that item from Vietnam, depending on the situation.
In case pesticide residue or other toxic substances exceed China's health and safety standards, the shipment will be rejected or destroyed. GACC also immediately notifies the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development and may apply measures to temporarily suspend imports from that growing area (or enterprise) into China, or even suspend all import activities. 4. Register the growing area code for agricultural products
The growing area code is a necessary and mandatory condition for exporting to the Chinese market and is one of the factors serving product traceability. According to regulations, fresh fruit exported to the Chinese market must be purchased from growing areas and packaged at facilities that have been granted codes and codes by the Plant Protection Department (Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development). recognized by the General Administration of Customs of China.

5. Packaging of agricultural products
- Packaging: On the packaging (cartons, bales) must be in Chinese or English; Information clearly stating the name of the fruit; place of production, place of packaging or brand/code number, pre-attached with traceability label. All packaging must be marked “For export to China” in Chinese or English. Packaging meets import regulations, in which wooden packaging and packaging materials are processed in accordance with ISPM 15 standards.
- Labels: Traceability labels can be stuck on fruits, pasted/printed on the outside of packaging boxes/boxes; Traceability label information is clear and easy to understand, the language used is Chinese or English. The content of the label includes: name of exporting organization, type of fruit, name of growing region and registration code; Packaging facility name and registration code. Note that this growing area code and packaging facility code have been registered with the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development and accepted by the General Administration of Customs of China.
