COMMON CERTIFICATE OF ORIGIN SAMPLES

1. What is CO?
Origin of goods C/O (Certificate of Origin): is a certificate of origin of goods, issued by the competent authority of the exporting country for exported goods produced in that country. C/O must comply with the regulations of the exporting country and the importing country according to the rules of origin.
The purpose of C/O is to prove that the goods have a clear origin, are legal in terms of tariffs and other regulations of the laws on Import and Export of both countries: Import and export.
2. Classification of CO
CO is divided into:
- Preferential CO: CO allows goods to enjoy preferential tariffs (special preferential tax rates). This special preferential tax rate is usually lower than not using CO (there are exceptions that are equal or higher for some items), as specified in the special preferential tax schedule issued by the government. .
- Non-preferential CO: This CO has no preferential tax effect, only serves to prove the origin of the goods.
